Inter-department centers
The Department of engineering "Enzo Ferrari" (DIEF) is involved with three inter-department centers: InterMech-MO.RE., Softech-ICT and CRIS.
InterMech-MO.RE. is the inter-department center for the applied research and technology transfer in the fields of the Advanced Mechanics and Engine technology. The center is part of of the High technology network of region Emilia Romagna (http://htn.aster.it) for the Mechanics and Materials area.
Softech-ICT proposes, coordinates and performs applied research and technology transfer in the field of ICT (Informatics, Electronics, Automation and Telecommunications). Softech-ICT is Lab of the High technology network of region Emilia Romagna (http://htn.aster.it) for the ICT and Design area. Softech-ICT goal is to empower for industries and public administrations aiming to develop and embrace advanced ICT solutions.
CRIS is a Inter-department research center on Security and Risk Prevention. The topic of security is a major challenge both at a national and international level, requiring an holistic approach. The topic is inherently multi-disciplinary.
