Abstract
We will go through the HW architecture of an Autonomous Vehicle, briefly covering its components to then go on describing less hands-on but still very technical aspects of the design: the system engineering that is behind the design of a complex system. We will then
conclude with a few considerations about today’s AV industry.
Bio
Stefano Salati was a Lead Systems Architect at Argo AI, where he coordinated the HW architecture and SW integration efforts to integrate the self-driving system into VW’s ID.Buzz.
He started working in autonomous driving in 2018 at the Audi-owned Autonomous Intelligent Driving in Munich. Before that, he was 5 years with Ferrari designing sensors for F1 cars.
