Students who intend to complete a curricular internship abroad through the Erasmus+ Traineeship program must, once they have applied for the call for applications and been selected, submit a Learning Agreement, which will be provided by the Student Mobility Office.

Students are responsible for completing the Learning Agreement, and the signature required on behalf of the Department must be that of the Erasmus Coordinator for the academic area corresponding to the degree program in which the student is enrolled.

Credit Recognition

To receive full credit for the curricular internship, it is recommended that students complete all the hours specified for the internship in the study abroad plan. 

If fewer hours are completed, a proportional number of CFU credits will be awarded; these must be calculated, agreed upon with the supervising professor, and entered into the LA.

 

At the end of your study abroad period:

a) If the credits earned abroad cover all the credits required by your study plan:

  • You must have your credits earned abroad validated by the Erasmus Coordinator and follow the instructions provided by the Student Mobility Office.

b) If the credits recognized abroad are fewer than those required by your study plan:

You must:

  • Have your credits earned abroad validated by the Erasmus Coordinator and follow the instructions provided by the Student Mobility Office;
  • Request, via the Internship Platform, the activation of a project-based activity (Internship in a lab) to make up for the missing number of hours;
  • Upon completion of both activities, you must request that the Degree Program Council combine your Erasmus credits with any supplementary credits you may have earned. The resolution will be sent to the student and the Student Affairs Office.

 

Note:

  • It may be helpful to have the host institution issue a statement at the end of your Erasmus period indicating the number of hours or months you spent there.
  • In case b), you do not need to register the internship on the platform as well.
  • No minimum number of CFU credits is required to participate in the Erasmus Traineeship program.
